Vision For 2019

The main focus this year has been remaining positive.  That means focusing on my affirmations and goals every single day.  Opening up my planner and running the goals through my mind. Then with my affirmations, I write them over and over again, while focusing on the way they make me feel.  For some of them, I focus on what it will feel like when they do manifest. This to me is so empowering. It reminds me where I am at and where I want to be. It gets me so excited every time I take the time to open up that book.

What have I noticed since starting this practice?  Overall, I feel happier. I feel like I am super focused on making changes, and it really feels good.  I am excited every single day to remind myself where the focus is, and there are even days when I add new affirmations.  By doing this, I get myself motivated to accomplish my goals, every single day. It also seems to roll over throughout the day, which is super fun.  In the past, I would make goals, but I wouldn’t give them as much attention, especially in 2018. In 2018, my goals were not super important to me because I believed that good things would automatically happen.  I do feel better when I have a clear path. I have also realized that I don’t focus as much on all the negatives that can be affecting me throughout the day. I can now flip the way I look at these situations. Now, this may not happen every single day in 2019, but it has been going well so far, and I am LOVING IT.

It also gives me an opportunity to be creative.  I use brightly colored pens and highlighters to create my affirmations.  Sometimes I even use stickers and graffiti letters, which are my favorite!

What do I do exactly?  What affirmations are my favorites?  Well, I grab my pretty colored pens and write my affirmations over and over again, while feeling how they make me feel, whether that’s by visualizing myself in the situations or just feeling happy and excited.  You know what it feels like to be excited! It’s such an amazing feeling and everyone knows what it feels like, which means it can be very easily reproduced. Think of a time you were excited about something. What happened throughout your body?  What was it like? What were you doing? Now, what would it feel like to manifest what you truly desire? Or believe all of those positive statements about yourself?

The affirmations I use are in the present, meaning I focus on already having what I want, feeling joy, excitement, and happiness.  I do this by starting my affirmations with I am or I have.  I am loved!  I have so much to be grateful for!  I focus on everything that I am grateful for, and I will tell you, there is so much.  And then when I am doing this every single day, it really impacts my mood. I have gotten so much out of doing this practice every day.  A mood booster and a reminder of where I want to be, or rather what I am doing right now.

How can you get started?  Well, find any notebook or even just a piece of paper and get started writing your positive statements.  Try your hardest to avoid I want!  Wanting or needing something comes from the place of lack.  You aren’t lacking anything! It just hasn’t arrived yet! This requires faith.  Knowing that it’s yours. Have you ever watched Married At First Sight?  The participants know that the experts found them a partner, but they don’t meet until the wedding.  For the first two weeks, the participants plan their wedding, what they will say to their significant other, and how the marriage will be.  They plan, but they don’t know who they will get. It’s the same thing! You know that you will get what you want, but you may not know all the details, not quite yet anyways.  So go ahead and get started, what do you have to lose?
