Ooo Baby Baby

Lately there have been a few situations that involved men calling me “baby.”  Now, if I were in a relationship with them for months, I would be over the moon, but that has not been the case.  This happened a few different times within a matter of days of speaking with them. I didn’t know them at all, other than talking to them for a few days and then BAM, they are calling me little cutesy names.  That is a huge deal breaker for me. I literally ignored their messages after that. Who calls someone “baby” after like three days of talking?

To me, it seems like they are trying WAY TOO hard.  Those words are to show affection. Affection comes with knowing someone and feeling close to them, so after a few days, how could they feel close to me?  In some of the situations, we hadn’t even met, so we weren’t even sure if there was a connection yet.

I understand that they were trying to be sweet, but it is super cheesy.  What are your thoughts? Do you like total strangers calling you cutesy names?  Just call me “April.”
