Short Story Contest

You guys!  I am currently writing a short story (20,000 words) for a writing contest.  I thought it was a great idea because I wanted to push myself, to see if I could create something great. I am excited to see if I do well at making up stories that keep people's attention.  The thing is I prefer writing about real issues. I really enjoy writing for this blog. Now, I am going to continue with my story because I want to prove that I can do it, and at some point, I may realize that I like writing stories too.  I am just not there yet. This could be due to the fact there is a deadline, so I feel a lot of pressure to get it done soon. Either way, once I get finished, I will be sharing it with you guys. The deadline is September 3rd, and I am guessing I am competing with some really great, experienced writers, so ...Wish me luck!
